This morning I headed to the public library
to pick up a hold and I was feeling pretty wonderful. The weather was perfect, the sun was shining, and I was feeling light on my feet in my little jazz shoes that I am going to wear until they fall apart (they're about halfway there). I stopped in at the magazine shop on the way and spied three copies of Lula #8 on the shelf. Even though I have a copy, I bought another. I thought I would give it away -- one of you can benefit from the joy I was feeling this morning. From what I can tell, some of you haven't been able to find it, so here is a chance.
I really don't mind heading to the poorhouse if I can make someone else a tiny bit happy along the way, especially if that person is one of you darling readers who are able to make me smile with your comments and messages (I hope you understand that my motives here are 100% altruistic -- as I started to type this post I suddenly felt shy about it).

This is my favourite of the four issues that I have (
the Kirsten Dunst issue, #5, is a close second!) and I do not want it to languish on a shelf in uptown Toronto. Boaters, dollhouses, dreamy photographs, pretty dresses, grandma style, Little Edie. Here are a couple of blog posts about #8 that I have enjoyed, at
Clever Nettle,
Liebemarlene Vintage, and
Little Thoughts.
Please leave a comment and I will randomly choose a name on Friday, say around 6 PM EST.
Fun fact: "lula" means "squid" in the first language I learned to speak, Portuguese.

That's so good of you. Don't put me in the draw as I am already going to end up with two copies (bought it already and then subscribed, and there was a stuff up with the magazine subscription company so I'll receive the issue I already have...) - I've arranged to swap my extra copy with someone else.
ReplyDeleteBut yes it is a lovely magazine!
you are like the lula fairy. ♥
