stay golden

I just ordered these golden oxford flats from Etsy seller goldenponies. They are handmade, leather, and $29, which is unreal. Could you be the most beautiful shoes in the world?

  2. Yaay! You will have to let us know how they are--I've been thinking about ordering the pink ones, but I feel skeptical about them being such a good price! Ahh!

  7. Hi, thanks for posting about my shoes, but i see a little polemic about, i want to explain here about these shoes, because of some doubting comments I have received and read.

They´re leather, they´re handmade, made in a little workshop, with my ideas, i´m not a shoemaker, that´s incorrect for etsy, in that case i move my bussines to other place, and of course all we know that in Mexico some stuff handmade is really cheap compared with other countries, my goal with this little bussiness is helps the people in my country, who mades pretty and good quality stuff, in the future i want to make more designs, also i have my own little brand of handmade accesories.

And the lower price is because i thought i never could sell anything giving them expensive, so i make a comparison by price, but if you people wants i can make them expensive.

But thanks for the benefit of the doubt.

  9. Erandi -

I think you may have misinterpreted the responses here. Anabela and the commenters were saying how wonderful it is to find such a good quality product at a reasonable price. I don't think it was meant as a criticism of your product or pricing at all. In fact, the post and the comments following are very complimentary!

  16. I just found your blog today and it's great to find a Toronto-based blog. :)

And those shoes are just wonderful and remind me of a pair I own - they are a pair of Keds that my mother bought but never wore years ago because she was afraid to get them dirty. They are gold too with gold ribbon for laces but I wish they were shiny like yours!

My mom re-discovered them a couple months ago and they just fit me so I've been looking forward to breaking them in when it stops being rainy.

  18. How is the fit on these? I really want to order some but buying shoes online can be so tricky! I wear an 8 or an 8.5 but my foot is wide so sometimes a 9 fits best -- hmmmm..

  19. Hi Lily, I'm not sure. I've always found them to be true to size but I'm also one of those people who can be anything from a 7.5 to an 8.5. I got the Mexican equivalent of 8 and they were fine!
