Ironically, I have yet to include a picture of my lil' tuxedo dreamcat, but oh the pressure! I think I'm waiting for the perfect photo of her to come along. There is a certain 'je ne sais quoi' that I look for when posting. The camera is important -- it's hard to capture a 'dreamy' quality on a phone, for example. A certain fluffiness and softness is good. I need more girls & cats! Thank you to everyone who has made a submission so far. I'm making my way through them, but a little slowly.
Coming soon: things that aren't cat-related (maybe).

calivintage, K.Line, sunshine by sara, jackie. K., Hollie, Becky, Sanne, nath, sew nancy: Thank you, I'm glad you like it!
anja louise verdugo: Oh, I can't wait to see what you do. I used the graphic linked on the Cats & Dog post, which is here. When printed on an A4 sheet, it gets a little fuzzy, but when it's ironed on it doesn't look too bad. I tried to draw it myself and even though it's such a simple line drawing it looked terrible.
diariodeunacouturier: Yes, they have really captured the imagination.
broom people: I love iron-on transfer paper! It's pretty handy, although I wouldn't use it on something that gets a lot of wear (I had a bad tote bag experience a few years ago).
Lexie, Little Boat: Thank you, and she is! So fluffy.
Megan: Yeah, they do! And she does -- I think she has one of the naked ladies one, which is so amazing.
Miss Crowland: Neat. Yeah, I'm still very much in a "cat obsessed" place (obviously), haha.
Jenny: Oh it really didn't take that long. Just a few minutes here and there to print, iron, post photos. If I had taken a little more time I might have done a better job! And thank you for the compliment! That is very sweet of you to say.
Kristien: Aw, thanks! Oooh I should make Oreo a collar too! She hates wearing anything at all, and is such a fusspot. I wish we could take a stroll down the street with Oreo!
Natalia Paiva LLorens: Oh, I couldn't do that! I don't mind making these for myself but I could never sell something that I didn't come up with or design on my own. I'm glad you like it, though!
Celine: Haha, thanks!
fraisedesbois: Oh, I just happened to have some iron-on paper lying around from a project I did years ago from Blueprint magazine! It's fun stuff to use.
Wow I can't believe how little blog reading I've been doing lately. I've missed so many of your posts!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I love your cat obsession though and thoroughly look forward to reading more of your posts. I have a few dreamcat photos that friends sent us when we moved to Berlin. I should scan them and send them off to you promptly! Um and I love your dreamy lense too...
Ahhhhh! That pictuuure! Anabela, you let me know that it's OK to go forth with my kitty obsession. Thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteYou deserve it! dreamcats is lovely. By the way, I apologize for calling you "Jenny" in my post .... I got your name mixed up with Jenny from wikstenmade (blog). Many apologies, Anabela!

Yay dream cats! I can't get enough!
ReplyDeleteI just remembered that I did a post last year called 'dream cat' about a painting I did of a cat I wish was mine. http://carlywaito.blogspot.com/2009/06/dream-cat.html
Slightly different meaning, but dreamy nonetheless.
that photo is so perfect I can hardly stand it.
