If I could afford it, I would try to get my hands on a Miu Miu cat collar. I think the collars are amazing! They're made of silk and cost about $200. I hope that one day I can have one, even if it's in twenty years and purchased in a vintage shop.
For now, I have to DIY it. I've been really inspired by all the Miu Miu DIYs I've seen, in particular this dress version. I combined it with this tutorial. I made my own this morning, but I need a do-over. I bought a men's shirt at the thrift store yesterday that wasn't $12.99 (too much!) and that had a nice and pointy collar. For next time: do not buy men's XL, which results in a huge collar, and check for yellowing. I printed the cat pattern on some iron-on transfer paper, cut out the little cats, and placed them in a way that was pleasing to me. For next time: don't scorch the fabric by leaving the iron sitting on the fabric for way too long, peel backing more carefully -- one of my cats lost his tail! I drew it in with a Sharpie for the sake of my show & tell.

Here I am with my dreamcat (and, um, my crooked bangs), who is very squirmy and doesn't like the beeping of the self-timer. This was the best I could do with Miss Oreo. If you're wondering why these pictures look extremely soft, it's because of a funny new lens that I got recently -- but more on that later. Things are going to get a bit more dreamy around here!
REPLIES: dreamcats (cont'd)
angelune: Oh, well, I think it was a joke anyhow.
Melissa: Oh yes, Breakfast! That is so sweet.
SwanDiamondRose: I take that as a compliment, for sure! I love ultra-girly things but I'm not afraid to be a tomboy when I feel like it.
shin ae: Oh, too bad! I always find cat allergies so tragic, although of course I'm sure that not everyone WANTS to love cats.
kelly: You should do it!
Megan: Thanks again!
theowlsarenotwhattheyseem, Becky, rennes le château, Kennedy, Margaret: Thank you, I'm glad you like it!
