I've said it before, but I can't help but love Zara. I am pretty excited to see what they have on offer for fall and winter. From what I've seen so far, it's a wilderness of girl-pretty and monochrome. Maybe they'll have a blanket-like cloak in there.
I wish it were me in this picture! Even The Cherry Blossom Girl has a similar cloak (apparently hers is Lacoste). Via The Sartorialist.

rosemaryx: Haha, do you mean to her new life? She's doing very well! She is very affectionate and snuggly and very, very playful! Thank you for asking.

miss sophie: Aw, she is a lovely little kitty!
Stephanie: Thank you!
melly: Oh yes, those are on my wishlist for sure!
Love this look! And at first glance I thought this picture was of you - so it's bound to suit you!!
ReplyDeleteI love cloaks! I've been looking at thrift stores for them lately but no dice. Well...actually I found one yesterday but I wasn't totally sold on it and left it there, now I'm bummed because we know it won't be there when I go back. I'm so indecisive!
ReplyDeleteI hope you do find one, because I think this would look amazing on you!
Zara is my favorite when they get all their Fall/early winter stuff in. So much neutral color goodness, all pretty affordable. Mmmmmm...
ReplyDeleteI loved that one of her too. I'm almost certain I saw some blogger in a similar cape this year that was from H&M, but can't for the life of me remember who it was. Annoying. I'm going to keep my eyes open in there just in case though!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see Zara's new fall stuff... Sept. 2nd it's online, which is the closest I'll get. *smile* Gorgeous cape.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very nice coat...it's a shame that you didn't get the one from Zara :( But on the positive side--there's probably something better waiting for you...that's the same price or even cheaper! :D

oh hun i hear ya, i feel like i never get to get clothes ever, so broke, i'm so sick of the same things over & over, & from last year, again& again...sigh...
ReplyDeleteI too am looking for a cloak/cape for this winter. I was actually in at Zara today and they have a plaid one and another cape like coat in camel. I also saw a great cape at Holt Renfrew Last call that is calling me back. Of course it is tad more expensive.
ReplyDeleteblah! i am nowhere near a zara! however i do plan on saving some pennies and attempting to snag an alexa/madewell back to school present for myself!
ReplyDeleteps. i posted a polaroid i snapped on my blog! ;) just for you!
LOVE the cloack- cape style is so in right now! I peaked in Zara the other day and I am really feeling all the leather pieces. Although I think if I actually wore them I'd melt (I live in Bangkok).

at first i thought it was you in the photograph! gorgeous outfit - i can see why you're lusting after a tan cloak :)
ReplyDeleteoh i absolutely love it! it's unfortunate that in cali it never gets cold enough to wear a coat/cloak! our idea of cold is 60 degress fahrenheit! :)
ReplyDeleteOooh there is a cape like this on ASOS! I have the Zara one, but if I didn't I would totally buy the one from ASOS. Look at the jackets section xxx
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about it for a long time, and I'm definitely making a cape for myself this year.
ReplyDeleteI know it is a money issue, but I don't think Zara's wool will ever compare to the one you buy and choose yourself.
Every now and then they carry clothes that have a little construction/material quality, but it's not so easy to find them in the middle of the cheap stuff.
That cloak is beautiful - her entire outfit is! And I completely agree, I can get lost in Zara for hours on end, cooing over the clothes on offer xx
ReplyDeleteI know you could make yourself an amazing cloak. What about that Built by Wendy cape tutorial on Martha? I do love the Zara fall collection, there's a couple camel coats I've got my eye on.
ReplyDeleteActually, you & the Cherry Blossom Girl really do look alike! (Well as far as I can tell!)
