Just a quick note to let you know that I will be away next week, but I'm leaving behind something pretty amazing! I've lined up a series of guest bloggers for the first time ever, and I'm so excited about it. I'm really happy with my "This is where I live" feature, and four ladies in three other cities were sweet enough to look through their camera lenses as though they were me. I wish I could have been there to take the pictures; maybe one day.
I won't be responding to comments on those posts, but I'm going to state in advance that yes, the results are so, so good, I agree!
As for me, I'm headed to Portugal again for a week. I'll spend most of the week in the south, where my parents have a little apartment that is covered in fuschia flowers right by the ocean, but I hope to visit Lisbon (my favourite city, pictured above) and possibly Seville as well. I'll be on the lookout for Birkin baskets. I will be eating the best food ever and this time, I'm bringing my running shoes -- it will be so good to run in salty air instead of smog.
While it's probably a crazy idea to head on a trip while I'm preparing for Little Winter, I am not one to turn down a voyage back to summer! I will, however, be working on an incredible project while I'm away, one that makes me giddy every time I think of it.
Please enjoy my guests! It is an honour to host them.

REPLIES
Jane Flanagan: Thank you! Oh and thanks for the tip -- I'm still trying to find Apartamento.
sew nancy: I wish you could, too! I think it's going to be really fun.
Anna: Thanks so much, Anna! That is so sweet of you to sell. Oh, I'm not confident enough to sell dresses! I wish I were, but I'm not a good enough pattern maker to know how to fit other sizes well. And yes, I'm so happy about the kittens!
kenzie: Thank you! I can't wait to meet you!
alice: Yes, I agree! They remind me of school.
fraisedesbois: Yes, Diane Keaton! I love her! I wish my blouse was silk, but at least it's pretty anyhow!
C: Thank you! I left the selvedge for this fabric but for others I might not, it just depends on the fabric. It's not quite an open tube; I've made them in such a way that they will keep their shape and not shift around.
Marinka: Thank you!
miss sophie: Thanks! Oh yes, this new issue of The Gentlewoman is so good! It's just got the best humour.
Elizabeth: Thank you!
Sarah: That makes me so happy! Please do say hello!
etre-soi: Thank you! Yes, I suppose early 1920s! I do love the juxtaposition of masculine/feminine myself.
CARLY WAITO: Thanks, lady!
