Geoff & I are busy today getting ready for tomorrow, but I just wanted to thank those of you who have blogged or tweeted about the West Elm/Etsy pop-up tomorrow. I'm excited, but also extremely nervous! I know that everyone at West Elm is busy preparing the shop for the event, and that I have nothing to worry about.
I'm sorry to report that Leilanni had something come up at the last minute and will not be in attendance, though.
We had hoped to have a few new items and designs ready in time (we are not one trick ponies, I swear, just busy ponies), but unfortunately, as is so often the case, it didn't happen... but we did print a few bags in fluorescent pink, the sort that hurts your eyes a little, but is so so good.
I hope to see you there!
Oh yes: some of you may have noticed that we have closed our shops as the result of the Canada Post strike -- we're still not sure if they will be striking in Toronto, or how the strike will affect us (it is all quite unclear), but for the time being the shops will remain closed. If you have recently placed an order, please do not fret as the last packages we sent out should have left Canada by now.
carly: I like corals too -- can't do red personally! I like that coral is a little softer.
Rizie: I'm glad you like it! Ooh, I want to see your Hasbeens. I was scared to wear mine too but now they're a little more broken in.
I love fluff..can't get enough of it!
victoria / cats dreaming in keylime: Nice!
thrillofthechaise.com: All beauty advice from me should be taken with a grain of salt (ha!) but I really do like that spray!
Elise / broom people: Oh, nice! I tried taking pictures but they were all a disaster, sorry!
Caitlin Rose: Thank you, and I hope the polish lives up to your dreams.
marissa (stylebook): HA!
Heba: Yeah, I really like it!
Kate: I hope you like them! And yeah, loving the bracelet. Haha, I would have burst out laughing at that email!
angelune: It's hard to say. I have found them comfortable and they haven't cut into my skin but I always expect to have blisters any time I break in a new pair of sandals in the summer. If your feet are that sensitive I probably wouldn't risk it.
DEADWEIGHT: Yes!! The bangs are currently making me bonkers. At least I like my lipstick.
Rose Petals in the Rain: Oh, I know, but the NARS is really nice and stays on forever. But yeah, it's expensive.
Stephanie: Oh, amazing! I love that. About the size, I'm not sure. I usually don't mind if my shoes are just a tiny bit loose, and I always get 39 in European sizes and it's usually fine. I'm pretty bad about perfect fit, ha.
beckie: Oh, yeah, I won't miss that. Although I do like how a straight-across fringe covers up the furrow in between my brows!
Taryn: Thanks for that! And if you do try it, I hope you like it!
anja louise: Yeah, that lipstick is sort of the best. And oh man, I have salt water beach envy. I need to go dunk myself in some of that.
kater: So am I! I'm glad you like this because I really do feel like I don't know what I'm talking about. I would happily trade hairs!
Swan: Ugh, I know what you mean. My bangs go a bit wavy with the least bit of humidity and it looks pretty ridiculous! Some people can pull it off but not me.
sn: Aw, I'm glad you liked it! I don't really have that many tips but I like it when other people feel encouraged to share theirs in comments. So many things to try... I think perfectly tousled beach hair is a bit of a dream for me too because my hair tends to get so frizzy!
alice: Hmm, I don't! I actually have a harder time cycling in loafers because I've had them fall right off my feet before. I've gotten used to cycling in all kinds of footwear over the years, though... and yeah, I have certainly dented my share of clog-wood. Ah well.
Dianne: Oh yes, me too!
Zoë: Nice! Looking forward to seeing yours.
