I wanted to thank everyone at West Elm, including the store staff and managers who were so helpful, and especially Ella and Abigail at head office. It was a pleasure to work with such a friendly and kind bunch of people -- I think the other sellers would agree. Thank you for giving me this opportunity, and for all your support leading up to and during the event. It was pretty cool of them to partner with Etsy and host an event that is all about handmade products and independent designers. (And just as Abby said in her post, this is all from me, I am not under contract to say nice things about West Elm or anything like that!) Oh, and the food from Mildred's Temple Kitchen was so good -- I think I drank a pitcher of lemonade over the course of the day.
I also want to thank those of you who came to the event. It was quite a busy day and I was always so glad when someone approached me to say hello, and to finally meet some of you in person. I even had a visit from two girls I went to high school with, who I have not seen since... the late '90s! So crazy!
Thank you to Geoff, too, without whom I could never do any of this. He actually took a good portion of these pictures so that I could chat with people in our section and hang out on a comfortable sofa with friends. He enjoyed it, of course, and got to talk to all the participants. He came back with pockets full of business cards.
This was our setup for the day. You might notice that we have an "Into the Fields" tote bag -- it's a denim bag that we have designed with our friends at Robber. It will be available soon!
