This season I continued with my Good Night, Day theme of referencing the past, while maintaining the modern and minimalist designs. The pieces were created with traditional knits in mind, while using pure wools that are drastically thick and thin spun and new blended ultra-soft fibers (cashmere/silk/merino wool blends) and completed with bold colour blocking. This season’s designs also incorporate varied knitting techniques such as reversible chunky cables, subtle dip dying effects, every which way fringe details, mobius ribbingand lattice work to name a few.
All her pieces are created with fair trade alpaca, merino, and cashmere wools. Tara-Lynn has generously created the coupon code FIELDGUIDED for 10% off items in her shop. Also, check out the Simcoe braided headband (which I have, and adore) in Vogue Germany, fourth photo down. Pretty cool.
I just wanted to say thank you for your sweet comments on my last post! I hope to share a few more photos at some point, but for now I am still quite overwhelmed with it all. Thank you, thank you!
Wow! Vogue Germany, what a dream! Go Tara-Lynn!
ReplyDeleteI want to look good in knitted headbands so badly, but it just isn't happening. You wear your Simcoe beautifully! I'm going to stick with the cowls and toques.
I don't know about that! I bet you look great!
DeleteYay - great excuse to finally buy the pattern booklet! Like Erica, I dream of looking good in knitted headbands. What the heck, I'll give it another try! That Kingston sweater in the variegated blues is soooooo dreamy.
ReplyDeleteGood idea! I wish I knew how to knit sometimes but I'm fine with having someone else do the work for me, ha.
DeleteI have a few of Tara-Lynn's pieces too. So gorgeous. And I'm trying to knit my way through her book before winter.

DeleteHow sad that the Kingston sweater is sold out! It is just stunning and it looks like exactly the type of knit that one could easily live in.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it will come back! I know that keeping a steady supply of that lovely wool can be a challenge.
Deletethat last picture... oh my, the sweater and dress are perfection together.
ReplyDeleteYes, so pretty! Wintery and lovely.
DeleteI'm a huge fan of Good Night, Day (and I think I actually discovered these lovely knits via your blog, actually). A beautiful new lookbook - there are so many pieces I would love to own. That colourful sweater especially.
