A few recent photos taken with the Canon A-1. Winter is starting to feel endless even though we’re barely a month in; Sibylle Baier makes an ideal soundtrack. I try hard not to give into the dreariness of it all.
I posted other “Winter Scenes” last year, taken with a different camera.
The window of Art Metropole on January 1; icicles at the back of the house we live in; a hotel in Burlington; Gather Journal; Tew’s Falls; the peony I planted last spring; flowers from Sweet Woodruff; a December birthday.
Lovely photos Anabela. The A1 is the best camera ever!
ReplyDeletethis winter is really bumming my out. its FRIGID in winnipeg at -45 and it feels like its been going on forevs.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying hard not to give into the gloom of winter either, but it is a daily battle. Beautiful photos.

i always tell myself i'll stop in at art metropole, and somehow never manage to (even though we live on dundas, a block away! i'm so lazy!)...but that window display in the old project kids window is pretty darn awesome. anything you'd recommend picking up there? or should i just go and soak it all in? :)
ReplyDeleteand wow does tew's falls look like the most amazing place to hike! i'm totally checking that out the next time i feel like getting away from toronto. (so, pretty much next weekend. haha.)
those balloons look amazing! happy birthday to whomever turned 34...i hope i have as awesome a party when mine rolls around... :)
I haven't actually picked up anything there myself, but I do like to look. And thanks! It was my birthday, ho hum.
Deleteoh no way! well happy belated birthday then!! :)
Deleteif you can believe it, i still haven't made it to art metropole...even to look! but i've been aching to go into life of manek, recently...and since i'll be on that side of the street anyway, i might as well pop into a.m. right?
Ugh! I know, dear A, and I normally LIKE Winter! :S
ReplyDeleteLove the toque in the 2nd shot!

soooo dreamy. I love the icicles. it's -17 here in minnesota. cannot wait for anything above zero!
ReplyDeleteI love that the icicles look a little pinkish!
ReplyDeletetew's falls looks very mysterious to me. i'm going to have to research that.
ReplyDeletei'm pretty sure each photo has a pink tinge to it. it's so subtle but ties it all together.
Thanks! I think it's the film. Love that Portra...
